  1. I’ve tried tons of pre workouts, but few pre workouts give u that kick u need. The best pre workouts ive seen nice results from are c4 n craze. If u haven’t tried craze yet, get it! Awesome pump, incredible energy n focus!

  2. I’ve tried 6 of the 10 on this list as part of research group being put on by a local supplement store but I have to say my #1 isn’t on this list. Cellucor’s M5 extreme is simply unmatched by these others.

    • I have tried so many pre workouts with no results or energy boost. I am not sensitive to caffeine. Are you sensitive to Caffeine?

      • Hey Kelli, what pre workouts have you tried? I’ve personally taken over a dozen and I’d have to say more than half of them I saw great results from (high energy, nice pump, focus, strength gains, etc.) And how many scoops do you take per recommended dose? I know with some great pre workout supplements I don’t see any effect at all with 1 scoop…but then I’ll take 1.5 or 2 and it makes all the difference :)

    • They probably don’t classify M5 as a preworkout. Probably as a mass gainer instead.

  3. I have been taking C4 extreme now for about four months. I still get the same effect from one scope now as I did when I started…PUMPED!. I have tried several of the other products listed in the top ten and I like the taste and pump best with C4. Luv this stuff….It helps that unlike the others listed I can get a two month supply at Costco Warehouse for 39 bucks. But if needed, I would buy this stuff without the discount.

  4. The only pre workout that works for me ive tried alot of the new ones but they dont amount to the old hemo rage black ultra concentrate used to be. Im looking for the closest thing to the old hemo rage. Ive doubled and even tripled the amount given on alot of pre workouts but very little or no effect what so ever. Need help!

    • Hey Thomas, I’ve never tried black ultra concentrate so I cannot compare it. However, I’m currently using Bullnox Androrush which I’m seeing awesome results/ gains from. Usually with most pre workouts I’ll need to double the recommended dosage quickly after building up tolerance, but with Bullnox I’m still at 1 scoop after about a month and loving it!

  5. Funny Nutrabio’s extreme Nitric Stack isn’t mentioned I’ve taken plenty of pre’s to find they give you minimal boost. Nutrabio delivers in their pre workout. The stuff puts you on a whole new level. DS craze is the closest thing to it

  6. Great site here and good information as well. I find my favorite to be Cellucor C4.The solubility and taste of the fruit punch is a definite plus on the side of the pumps it brings during my workouts.

  7. I’ve tried the #1 pre workout on your list: Hyper FX. But I felt a bit tingles and a loss of appetite after my workout. My favorite pre workout is Jack3D Micro. I got a good pump and was able to last the full 2 hours of my session.

  9. I’ve tried the BSN Hyper FX and I think it’s awesome! I also like the BSN NO-Xplode and Cellucor C4. I would definitely recommend these supplements to anyone.

  10. Ive never taken supplements n wana start taking some to get bigger is it ok to take preworkouts before and protein after the workout if so wat do you recommend

    • Yes, that’s a great strategy. This is all I currently use and for the most part always use as far as my supplement regimen goes. I take Bullnox Androrush for a pre workout supplement and Optimum Gold Standard 100% Whey Protein. I have laser-focused energy and pumps in the gym and then use the 100% whey protein directly after to repair and build muscle. I do try out new pre workout supps here and there, but I always seem to come back to Bullnox.

  11. I have tried Cellucor C4, BSN No-Xplode before MP assault and the initial kick i get is very similar.
    However, with the C4, the energy dims away and I have to “reactivate” it by staying active.
    With the NO-Xplode, I get crazy energy and tingliness (which I don’t mind) but it dies away.
    With the Assault, it’s constant energy and anti-fatigue for 3 hours! (1 scoop). One PT asked me if I am not working out too long lol. I’m reordering assault because of the consistent energy, focus and anti-fatigue throughout my whole workout. I always do one more exercise before going home because I have so much energy.

  12. Best preworkout hands down is Animal Rage. You wont know what hit you. Do not take this anywheres close to bed time and do not exceed the recommended dose. Not for the faint of heart.

  13. Is jack3d good for running?

    • As a pre workout, it’s more for working out. However, I personally have used Jack3d for running. I just would use 1/2 serving for the initial push to get you going.

  14. can you stack this (bull nox) with a test booster or is the test booster in this sufficient?

    • Hi Kyle, Bullnox has natural test boosters in it. However for the amount you’d be taking daily (1 serving) is not nearly as sufficient as the recommended dosage for an actual testosterone booster itself. I will either do 1 or the other or cycle off. So for example, I’d take Bullnox pre workout alone for a month or so… then maybe use a testosterone booster for 2-4 months after, etc. All the meanwhile I’m taking a whey protein supplement for recovery. It really depends on how I feel or what/how I want to train next. To bulk, to tone, etc.

      However, if you are taking a pre workout supplement without test boosters in it then I’m sure you can stack both together.
